Exercise is also good to do throughout the pregnancy. Walking, jogging, low-impact aerobics, light weight training, and stretching are all very beneficial. Exercise will make the pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum recovery easier. Just remember that you are pregnant and not training for the Olympics. Avoid getting overheated. Increased body temperature is not good for the baby, for the same reason stay out of hot tubs and Jacuzzis. Sit-ups and leg lifts should also be avoided. Keep your heart rate below 120 beats per minute.
